Michigan Trip

My family and I took a road trip to Michigan. We stopped by Tahquamenon Falls, ate at a beautiful little cafe at the top of a ski hill, took a tour on a glass-bottom boat to see sunken ships in Lake Superior, and spent the night on Mackinac Island. It was perfect weather when we went. With Victorian-styled homes, fudge for days, and over 200 years of history—Mackinac Island was definitely the highlight. Fun facts, it’s a small island (8.2 miles around), it has the perfect temperature + humidity to make fudge on a marble slab, it is home to the Grand Hotel which has the world’s longest porch (660 feet), and there are no cars allowed so it’s horse and buggy, walking, or biking around. I highly recommend getting whitefish on your visit as it is caught fresh from Lake Superior.
